The Department of Graphic Design at VCUarts Qatar is a collaborative and critically engaged community of makers, researchers, and cultural advocates. Through design, the department seeks to question, document, and reshape the world around us.

Design is understood as a continuum—one that draws upon historical knowledge to inform present needs and to imagine more just and thoughtful futures. Grounded in content and context, students are encouraged to engage with real-world challenges as activists, archivists, and cultural ambassadors, using design as a communicative, preservational, and transformative force.
