Heart to Heart

A Feminist Publication of Shared Experiences

Heart to Heart is a feminist publication grounded in the belief that the personal is political.

Created from the perspective of a Qatari woman in the Arabian Gulf, the project brings together conversations with women connected to Arab culture to explore how social expectations and everyday experiences shape womanhood.

Emerging from personal reflection and dialogue, I position myself as both participant and collector of voices, forming an intimate archive of lived experience, solidarity, and collective memory through guided interviews. The outcome includes one large-scale banner presenting interview excerpts alongside black and white imagery, and a publication combining personal film photographs with selected texts.

Through layered imagery, sequencing, expressive typography, and material transparency, the work translates personal testimonies into a visual system that invites reflection on identity, guidance, and empowerment.
