between totality and what remains

between totality and what remains

My work begins with a personal fascination with the moon, not only as something distant, but as something that feels emotionally close. I’m interested in its quiet, intimate presence and how it connects to the human body through ideas of skin, texture, and sensitivity.

The footage of the moon is captured through my telescope during quiet late-night moon-gazing sessions, alongside everyday moments filmed with a video camera. These elements are brought together through projection mapping of mixed media, forming an immersive installation. I present the work across layered surfaces or sculptural forms to create movement and subtle shifts throughout the space. This allows the viewer to experience the work from different angles and distances.

Through natural elements like water and light, I explore the moon’s influence on tides, rhythms, and cycles, blurring the line between the cosmic and the personal, and creating space to reflect on our relationship with something both distant and deeply familiar.
