Where Everyday Connections Begin

Al-Ihtiwa, meaning a spectrum of belonging, is an autism daycare in Egypt for children aged 3–6 where interior design supports sensory and emotional regulation. The project organizes spaces from active to calm, using material, color, and light to guide movement, reduce sensory overload, and support comfort, independence, and emotional balance.

Spatial Floor Plan:- Organized flow and zoning

Welcoming Reception:- Nature-integrated entry space

Calm Transition Corridor:- Light-guided movement

Escape & Sensory Room:- Safe space for regulation

Shared Activity Room:- Flexible group interaction space

Learning Through Play:- Interactive classroom environment

Outdoor Sensory Play:- Water-based tactile experience

Material Board:- Calm, cohesive textures
